Polite Screeching Preferred

4thsomfinalist
You know when you want something to happen and when it finally does, you don’t believe it? Well, that’s where I am now.

On April 15, I received word that my manuscript, Falling Again, is a Finalist in Passionate Ink’s Stroke of Midnight contest! Woo hoo!!

After I read my email, I stared at the screen for about ten seconds. (Thank goodness, I was sitting at the time. I would have probably fallen.) Then, my mouth dropped opened. However, I quickly covered it with my hand. I didn’t think it was wise to wake the entire neighborhood with my screaming. I stared at the computer again, for another thirty seconds, (or was it until my screensaver popped up?) to make sure the email was addressed to me.

Finally, I took a deep breath and politely screeched. Then, I called my critiquing partner and other good friend, we all screeched on a conference call.

I’m honored and floored to be a finalist. The winners will be announced at the RWA national conference in Washington, D.C. This news is an added bonus to what is sure to be an awesome event. I can’t wait!

    Hey Diva,
Yeah you are a DIVA……….you know how proud I am of you because I know how hard you worked on this manuscript and once it is publish it is going to fly off the shelf. Continue to write and remember anything worth having is worth the wait. We both know that this is a waiting game but I know that when the time is right God will have a hand it.

Be Patient…………funny coming from the MOST IMPATIENT READER….HA HA HA
